This class meets 2 days a week for 12 weeks.

Description:

For intermediate to advanced filmmakers and writers. This is a team filmmaking class. We will take a work of classic literature and adapt it to a modern cinematic context.

Students will produce, write, direct, and edit a complete short film based on the study of a chosen literary classic, while collaborating over zoom. There is the possibility of working in person depending on the student's ability to travel.

Writers will benefit from studying classic literature and contemporizing the themes for today as well as learning how to work with filmmakers to see the text visualize on screen.
