Group Classes
I offer classes for groups of different sizes and skill levels. This is a great way to be inspired by peers, collaborate as a team, get feedback, and build your portfolio. Classes are held on Zoom. There may be opportunities to have classes in person depending on the students' location and availability to travel.

Each class is 3 hours with a 15-minute break.

All classes will have public online screenings to share students' work.
​
These classes aren't just for filmmakers. All artists, including writers, composers, actors, etc. can enhance their practice by learning filmmaking skills and collaborating with other artists.

Everyone is welcome. Everybody has a story to tell. You can be a filmmaker. No experience is necessary.

Intro to Filmmaking
If you are interested in learning how to make films, this group class will teach you the tools used to tell your story cinematically. There will be assignments that will help you discover your own unique style of filmmaking while developing cinematic syntax. We will also study the personal style and methods of master filmmakers.

Personal Cinema
This intermediate to advanced group class will coach filmmakers on their personal filmmaking journey as they develop, shoot and finish a completed film. They will get feedback from their peers.
Filmmakers will delve deep inside themselves in search of a unique story and then use their filmmaking skills to tell their story. RESONANCE, ARTICULATION, SINCERITY, and CLARITY in your cinematic storytelling are key to connecting with your audience.
There will also be optional small group projects to hone collaborative filmmaking skills.

Project Classic Literature to Film
For intermediate to advanced filmmakers and writers. This is a team filmmaking class. We will take a work of classic literature and adapt it to a modern cinematic context.
Students will produce, write, direct, and edit a complete short film based on the study of a chosen literary classic, while collaborating over zoom. There is the possibility of working in person depending on the student's ability to travel.
Writers will benefit from studying classic literature and contemporizing the themes for today as well as learning how to work with filmmakers to see the text visualize on screen.
