Little Big Things That Make Me Happy 001

I’ve been told I am seem like a very serious, aloof, melancholic sad sack. I thought I would periodically post moments in my world that truly fill me with happiness. This will serve as a lesson for me to remember what is good in life and, in turn, get you to do the same with your own world moments.

BIC's beautiful tone.

It’s the small in life accomplishments in life we forget to embrace. Well played!

    What I’ve learned about personality:
Personality Plus (great book about the 4 basic personality types - this philosphy has been around for hundreds or thousands of years & makes sense)

Blood Type (Marilyn Monroe & John F. Kennedy both ABs and shared the charismatic attribute associated with that blood type)

Zodiac Sign (Seems to me it is true people born around the same time of the year share some traits)

Gender (Yep- boys & girls respond differently to the same situations because of their hormones)

All emotions come and go and come back again. There are learned behaviors that can take you away from your born-with personlity traits and give you more tools to play with.

Anyone who wears a fuschia shirt and yellow tie and rides a Harley is not a sad sack. I see you as a kid in a candy store, trying many things.

There is an inherent sadness all humans have that has been referred to as being caused by our separation from “the source” and our wanting to get back there “to God” if you will. I’ve read this in a couple of books trying to find out why I am capable of “deeper” sadnesses than what I perceive others experencing.

ahhhh…. music. Come back to the music. It will always help you dance. Nice Pied Piper you got there :-)

    :) How wonderful! I enjoyed listening to this. Thank you. :) :) :) :)

Roberta, it sounds like an interesting book, please don’t take me the wrong way…we need a something to go by - we don’t need a troublesome type in our life, especially on the job.

I think a good con man can play the role of JFK. That’s how I see it–close to God or not, it peels away to one’s heart. Your feelings control your mind.

    PAH is HeART.

    Hi Kimberlee!

    Peace out!

  7. Monkey Says:

    Wow, Bailey’s great!!

Money cheers me up. I need more money.

I have a hearty disdain for the “American Dream” which relates to my personal dislike of the human ego. It translates to an ever growing anger that materializes whenever pompous people are near me. Which then causes an aloof, melancholic solicitude.

My own children have brought me great joy, and may one day afford me the luxury of a calming spirit. Until that time for me, I travel through zones of incontinuity, and despair, searching for answers to questions that no one comprehends.

Children are gifts for us to contemplate our fate, our lot in life, and you’re a lucky man to have a loving wife, and a great son. It’s the greatest pleasure of life to love, and be loved.
Family is truly the glue to an other wise fractured existence.

  9. Doug Says:

Hi Cali and Monkey. Cali, your comment proves feelings control your mind. Hold on to the feeling that your children bring you - Life is much too short.

    I go in peace.

  10. The Barn Says:

    Yankee,
A cut of the jib you and I. My pride in family comes in watching both my boys make decisions that THEY make. It brings me peace to see them following their own destiny through trial and error. My comfidence in them comes in knowing that they are both intelligent and caring individuals.

    Bailey,
Thanks for the jam session. Ian Anderson is all I can say. I hear his style in your technique.

Monkey? If you poke some holes in a bannana, I bet you could play along too. And with BIC and The Monkey playing together, money is sure to follow.

    Brodda? Hang ten! ;)

    Hope all are well.
    The Barn

  11. The Barn Says:

    As a P.S.
Note the word “COMFIDENCE”. Comfort and confidence combined.

  12. Doug Says:

Hey Brodda, a big High Five to ya! :)

  13. California Yanqui Says:

One of these days Barn will get together.
I can’t seem to find your number. Doug you’re the best. Alot has happened in the last year and i feel more isolated then ever since moving out to Arizona.
