Receiving a letter from his poor, dying mother, Jed decides to return to the Old Country, Italy. He hopes he is not to late.

Since Jed has little money, he has to work his way back to Italy on a ship. He becomes the Ship’s Chef helper. Since his Octopus pie in wine sauce is such a hit with the crew he is given special treatment and is given his own room aboard the ship, Monkey Charms.

Jed called his creation, Octopie in red wine with mushrooms. He became world famous. But you got to get the big one to feed a ship’s crew, minus the inky sac.
